London-Birmingham Airport?

Found this interesting thread on whether HS2 could be beneficial for BHX, perhaps with BHX becoming a London overspill, removing the need for the so-called 'Thames Estuary Airport'. On the other hand, it might be bad news for the Midlands, with people more willing to travel down to London:

Happy New Year!

A little late but better late than never! Just found that the links to the pictures of the Flybe Embraer 175's (on Planepictures.net) are now assigned to different pictures, so you may have ended up with a Spanair MD87 or something instead when you clicked on the links! As a result I'm taking the links off but you can find the pics on www.Airliners.net and www.Planepictures.net.

Not much news recently unfortunately, minor updates include that Air France are now regularly using Airbus A320's on their flights to Birmingham rather than A318's. Also, it's likely the based bmi A320 at BHX serving Frankfurt will be replaced by a Lufthansa aircraft some time this year following their announcement of the sale of  bmi to IAG.
